Hi, our gym does something fun for the team and coaches...we do secret gymnast week where everyday the gymnast brings in a treat, picture, food, etc., and the coaches try to guess which team member is the secret gymnast of the week. That being said I am at a loss this year (my 3rd) as to what to do...I tend to try to give useful or fun gifts.
Secret Gymnast of the week is a fantastic idea! I love it and will be using it for sure. I also like to implement small incentives like a rewards jar. Just like the one found here http://gymgabblog.com/rewards-jar/ Stickers are also great for any age, I've found that I can pick up some printing labels and make my own cool gymnastic-y ones that are personalized. Some even HUGE mailing labels are super fun...even teenagers love em. Think small scale, they will love the little things...I promise!
- a Gymnastics Coach and also gym mama to one funky girl. I share from a point of view from the coach and parent to help all of us make sense of this amazing sport.
